E. ETZLER)には記述無し。
L.mitokii Kishii,2004とogatai (Kishii,1985) を検したところ、L. ogatai (Kishii,
1985)のパラタイプとした大瀬洞窟産は新種であることを見つけた。（ogatai のホロタイプは佐賀県多良岳産）
新種は、ogatai , mitokii とは、褐色、触角、前胸背が異っている。
また、洞窟内で完結する生活史を持ち、他に鹿児島県の洞窟内に於いても同種を産する。
spelunca は洞窟の意味である。
日本産 Lioniscus属 23種の検索を示した。
